Naughty Naughty Isabelle

When she was discharged from Hospital on Sunday (10th Aug), we were so happy to bring her home. Little did we expect that 4 days would bring about drastic changes...

We expected her to miss home and be more obedient when she returned since there was not much "love" for her in the hospital.

But, all her habits seemed to have changed for the WORSE!

Toilet Training:
Prior to her re-admission for jaundice, she was almost perfectly toilet trained. She would whine before she wanted to pee and Nai-Nai would run to her rescue. If we were fast enough, we would be able to rush her to the toilet before she pees. This ensures that she would not wet her nappies and it was a form of toilet training.

After her return from hospital, she only cried after wetting her nappies. Sometimes, when Nai-nai tried to "wee" her before and after feeding, she would throw a big tantrum. If she's naughty, she will pee on Nai-nai!

Feeding:
Her feeding schedule was completely messed up. Previously, she fed on 100ml every 3 hours. In the hospital, she was put on a "strict" diet of 80ml. (Apparently, she was considered to be overfed at home).

When she got home, it felt like she was part of the "7th month" gang (Hungry Gh**t)! She cried more frequently for food with irregular timings and we could no longer predict her feeding schedule. I had to start noting down her feeding times and volume just to "catch" her pattern. Worst of all, she suckled the milk like there was NO TOMORROW! She suckled so much faster than she could swallow! Half the time, I believe she wasted almost 30ml out of the 100ml we fed her. (No doubt her mummy is overflowing with milk, but that was NOT the way to waste it!!!) Even her shirt and towel were always wet after feeding!

Weird Noises:
She started making tonnes of weird noises. The ones I call "Ee-Ee-Ah-Ah-Oo-Oo-Eh-Eh". When feeding, she can be making noises and drinking at the same time. When sleeping, she also made those noises and everyone has to rush into the room just to check on her. Most of the time, she made those noises while sleeping! I guess subconsciously, she enjoys all the attention she gets while sleeping...

Complexion:
Her silky smooth complexion was COMPLETELY ruined after the hospital stay! She came back with red bumps and pimples (with white pus) over her face!!! It got worse the next day and her whole face, including her eyelids, were COVERED with red bumps and pimples, and even on her scalp!!! She was NOT pretty anymore! Of course, it didn't help that she was a messy drinker, with her hands moving all over her face during feeding. So, with her being so naughty, all of us had to be diligent. She started getting facial treatments after every meal (Only 15 days old got facial liao! I didn't even have any facials done till I was 25!). Usually, I was her facial "specialist". Whenever Alvin did facial for her, she would start to whine and complain! (Daddy lousy! Mummy Best!)

Worsening Complexion Condition (13th Aug)

And because of our (mainly mine) diligence, her complexion started to improve. But, we still have to continue with her facial regime as we want her to look all pretty and cute on her 1st month celebration.
